DLSS potentially bugged?
I just tried Doom Eternal with ray tracing and DLSS. At 1440p 165hz on ultra I get 30 or less with DLSS on performance. Basically ANY DLSS setting is worse than it off. Usually not the case with DLSS. Ray tracing looks amazing but tanks my performance atm. Running an RTX 2060 FE and Ryzen 7 3800X and 16gb 3k ram. :)

About a dozen threads exists for this. There’s definitely wonky DLSS performance fluctuations. Try lowering your Texture Pool to Ultra

♥♥♥♥ I usually remember to search topics but was distracted today. I put my overall settings to High and was getting mostly playable with DLSS off. Once they fix DLSS, it's on!

Just restart the game after changing setting.
Sut up what you need in video settings and restart the game!

It's potentially buggy. Sometimes, enabling DLSS can cause horrible frame drop which I had to restart the game. Hopefully, it'll be fixed on next patch.

Both ray tracing and DLSS has quite bugged in this release, for example starting the game with all of these features enabled gives me the worst performance, I have to lowering my graphics settings, apply, set my graphics settings back to normal every time I start the game to even get performance that makes any sense. I have noticed sometimes also simply turning on ray tracing, turning it off and turning it on can also kill my performance and sometimes give me single digit fps, also lowering my graphics setting and then turning them back to normal can also fix this issue usually. Needless to say I have found no stable settings that you can simply leave the game at and get the performance to remain stable, everything has to be retweaked every single time I start the game. Which means for the average user that wants to have some settings they don't want to have to keep tweaking every single time both DLSS and ray tracing are basically no go features until these issues are fixed in a patch.

I set dlss to quality and it gave me the frames I needed. Also dropped down to 1080p to get near 100 or more fps.

Same here with a 3070, FPS drop down to 35 when DLSS is enabled.

It's a bug. I hope id Software will patch this soon.
I got 22 FPS with DLSS On (regarless of settings) after tinkering with some settings it went magicly up again. Everything works just fine now (70-100 FPS).
