Game crashes on startup ever since RTX update

the game was running fine until I enabled ray tracing, it shouldn't be a problem considering I'm using an rtx 3060 video card. Now whenever the game launches it crashes as soon as the logo appears. Can anyone help?

My game crashes and my entire computer restarts after loading and ive been jumping through hoops to try and get it fixed. i have a 3070 and the new drivers so i dont really know the issue. i played the game beforehand and it worked fine

I have a 2060 and I'm having the same issue. The game will just crash the entire computer. It's happened 3 times today. It doesn't crash at the start of the game tho, it only did that one of 3 times for me, it did it during the gameplay.

havent had a hard crash but noticed it stopped using my ram and dropped it to bottom of list like backround program ? can anyone confirm same issue ? check task manager when crash occurs .

I have the same problem, I launch the game and my computer reboots :(

Sameish. Game apparently crashes before even starting. Steam button simply gets back to normal after a few seconds of trying to start the game up.

What is fun I installed the drivers that game asked before launching it.

No crashes of PC for me luckily. Game just doesn't even starts up.

Are you using two gsync/vrr displays? Nvidia has had issues since 466.47 with the target render screen losing signal then the PC crashing. The community is getting increasingly impatient with them. They still haven't fixed it.

Rtx 2070 super here , this game ran a couple of times after I tinkered around then it stopped working again! This last update just made the game unstable for me so its random if it decides to work or not.

install 471.11 and reboot the computer to complete a profile update.

This only started happening to me when I turned on Fullscreen.

During the Bethesda splash, hit Alt+Enter to force Windowed mode, and see if that helps you get to the settings menu so you can fix it - that's what worked for me.

I even optimized the game under geforce experience and restarted the pc, but whenever I hit space to start the game in the loading menu it crashes to desktop.

i have a 2080ti and have the same issue saying driver needs update but when i try to update it says the older version is newer lol

Turning off dlss and ray tracing doesn't help either.

did you use an nvslimmed package? this removes the profile updater tool.

the profile is now available bundled with the 471.22 hotfix driver.

iD is responsible party for fixing the issue btw, its a vulkan client exception due to buggy game code.
