My Laptop does Ray Tracing just fine in this game.
Seeing as how ray tracing works on Metro Exodus, Minecraft, and RE Village on my 3060 lapop, it's more likely the issue is with Doom Eternal than it is with Nvidia. If Nvidia's driver broke things, RT would be globally affected rather than ONE game having this isolated issue. I'm sure id Software can rectify the issue.
To be honest, I'm more impressed by DLSS.

also laptop, MSI GP66 leopard, 3070 i7 11800h.
i think it can be the issue with not having mux switch, try to hook ur laptop with external screen via HDMI, see if that option turns on or not.
I actually thought that as well. Well it didnt work. Im assuming either bad driver, or just the game. no idea.
Wileybear2, I have the same card. I did a clean installation of driver version 465.89. Doom Eternal will tell you you need to update the driver, but will allow you to play.
The current driver version is bugged and Nvidia is aware of the issue. The current workaround is the tried and true method of rolling back.
