Game using CPU and RAM but not GPU
Ever since the new update came out, my game seems to only be using my CPU and RAM. Having task manager open and watching the performance metrics, my CPU and RAM (and even storage) get used heavily (around the 70-90% range) but my GPU seems to be untouched (only around 5%). I have an RTX 2070, i7-8700k, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. The game is loaded onto an HDD drive, although I have never had issues with this beforehand. The game stutters constantly and has crashed my PC on one occasion. I used to run the game at 100 fps on Ultra-Nightmare graphics settings, but now I get roughly 40-50 no matter what settings I use, dipping as low as 10 or crashing the game all together on top of all the stuttering. Does anyone else have this issue, or does anyone have a solution for me? Thank you in advance.

Update to the latest game ready drivers for your video card and explore video setting in the game menu. Finally, download nvidia experience app if you have nvidia as it optimizes video settings for you and may be able to identify any errors?

My graphics drivers are all up to date and altering the in game settings unfortunately has little to no effect on game performance. I'm moreso worried about the game using only my CPU and RAM and not my graphics card to run. I appreciate the suggestion though!

try adding the game to your graphic tool. I guess it is nvidia geforce experience or nvidia inspector in your case.

Have you made sure your monitor is connected to your GPU? I know it may sound silly, but I had the same issue until I realized I connected my monitor to my motherboard, which made me get really bad frames. You need to plug in your monitor to your GPU to utilize it. Hope this helps! :)
