I didn’t really understand VEGA’s wording at the end of Ancient Gods Part 1, can someone explain the ending?

you gave the dark lord a body so you can kill him and destroy all demons once and for all

and since he takes the form of the most powerful being possible, it takes the same form as doomguy, so possibly the final boss of the doom series will be another doomguy

He didn’t already have a body?

well basically

that evil dark lord doom guy at the end = satan in the most powerful form (which is doomguy)
would be quite interesting tbh cus i mean we never fought against satan himself

wasn't it destroyed and only his soul sealed away?

I think is more complex than that. In the codex entries you can read the origin of the dark lord and the fight that he had with the father, and the pictures shows him looking like the slayer (even having his own crusible).

I think is more probably that the dark lord is just the version of doomguy from hell, like if it was a parallel universe.

Dark Lord's face can be slightly seen in a codex entry and it resembles Doomguy's face, so he has assumed this form before in the past.

But yeah, Vega basically said he assumes the most powerful being in Hell, and that's the Slayer, feared by all of hell as the ultimate warrior.

If I remember correctly, I think the basic idea is that The Dark Lord is basically Doomguy from an alternate dimension where instead of trying to destroy Hell like our Doomguy is doing, he went and conquered it instead, becoming the Dark Lord.

Yup, extra-dimensional doppelgangers can be a pain when dealing with the uber-malevolent versions of yourself...
