You add them manually by opening "Run" & typing shell:startup. Currently I have 79 shortcuts in there and the rest are automatically added to the start-up tab.
on win10 u will need both dx9.0c (june2010) and dx12 aswell...
Yes. To view your DirectX version and details, open up "Run" and type in "dxdiag.exe". To update your DirectX, there is a DX software but I clear my "Run" cache a lot and I don't usually use that specific DX software. You can also update your DX by the windows updater which is in windows settings, Nvidia Geforce, I presume AMD Radeon Software does the same, and you can use the Intel driver update tool to update your directX. It usually does it automatically
Here is the clip of DOOM Eternal not loading. Keep an eye on the "ID Tech Software Launcher" icon in the bottom right corner of the recording.

Need to fix sharing permissions.
DOOM Remastered 2016 uses both the Vulkan API and the OpenGL API but DOOM Eternal only uses the Vulkan API. I don't know specifically which vulkan they use but vulkan looks way better than OpenGL on DOOM 2016.
Also this depends on your graphics cards and how they are set up. Mine works best with the latest drivers for Vulkan.
I've tried fixing the sharing permissions to "idTechLauncher.exe" & "DOOMEternalx64vk.exe" but nothing has changed. I might be doing it wrong. Do you have any advice or a reference that I could use?
(Also if you thinking I am being denied access, I can't say if I am, I don't get any error messages popping up. I have ran the execution files as admin but it still doesn't launch or give an error code.)
i just thought he is referring to the talk about directx and bcs doom eternal is using vulkan (which is only a graphics api), dx would not be needed. but in fact dx9.0c is needed for both games...
