Stuck at Taras Nabad water pool

I've gotten to the first water pool in Taras Nabad. I opened the pool with the statue. I know I'm supposed to jump in and break the wall at the other end. Am I correct that pressing "E" underwater will not help, but instead I'm supposed to hit "space" to activate dash? I've tried that, nothing happens. Am I "dashing" incorrectly? How do I break the wall?

Whatever your dash button is. Just dash into it. It can't be space, space is jump by default unless you changed it. Dash is shift by default, try that.

If your too close to the break away, he won't go thru. The dash will fail. The dash works well in the water the distance is just slowed is all. Press dash bout 3ft. from the break.

"Shift" doesn't do a thing for me. As far as I can tell I don't have "dash". As far as I can tell there is no list or menu of keybinds so I can't determine what key triggers "dash", but I've tried every key on my board, none of them seem to produce a "dash".

Do you want to tell us that you played the game until Taras Nabad without dash? That's not possible, there are platforming sections that require dash to proceed. Shift is the default for dash. You can always look in the controls section of the menu where it is in your case. You find it under "slayer bindings".

As Hundinger said and I gotta ask the same question. How the hell did you ever get to map 09 without the dash. In case you blinked you picked up the dash in map 02. I can't tell you what the default setting is as I'm left handed and I rebind all my KB commands.

If you can't find the menu settings then use the journal (press TAB) everything you need to know is in there.

Instead of dashing I've been doing a lot of jumping. Actually I don't even have a dash refill symbol in the lower left of my screen. I tried rebinding dash to another key but it still doesn't work.

go where you change the controls, and restore all to default
by default "Shift" is for dash

also, it is even posible to get to Taras Nabad without the dash?

Dash is pretty early in Exultia. Just replay the level up to that point. But something's not right. It is absolutely impossible to get through the game without dash once you have it. "Doing a lot of jumping" won't work since you won't be able to travel the distances needed in many platforming sections. So how did you end up in Taras Nabad? Is this a joke?

I did replay the level and managed to acquire dash. I don't know how, but apparently I managed to skip a portion of the Exultia map.

This is a "look I'm special" thread. "I can do impossible stuff and didn't even realize". No need to take this guy seriously after he said he completed most of the game without dash.
OR, he used the wrong button for dash and was embarrassed, so he gave a ridiculous excuse so he wouldn't have to explain he made a simple mistake.
