I have the same problem, I hava a GTX 1060. I just bought it on sale and I cant even launch it. IDtechlauncher icon pops up to the side, steam says its running but nothing is happening. Even in taskmanager nothing happens.
Did yuou find a solution?
Now I get this error when I try to run it as administrator offline: "An error occurred while updating DOOM Eternal (app running)"
but it's not running sh*t
Windows 10 being a piece of $hit is a known issue. See pages 14 and 15 in this document and it's immediately obvious that we should blame the Redmond ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for almost everything that goes wrong with a Windows 10 PC that is software-related. http://us.download.nvidia.com/Windows/451.48/451.48-win10-win8-win7-release-notes.pdf
If may also have something to do with the Easy Anti-Cheat filth that the next update is supposed to nix. Denuvo has been a piece of crap pretty much anywhere it has been deployed.
Did you try what I wrote on the previous page?
Yes, it was actually the first thing I tried before re-installing. Thank you for the response though. I just bought the game yesterday because of the steam sale. If there was some sort of update this or last week that has to be the issue. No problems running other games and I'm pretty diligent w/ windows updates and drivers.
