DOOM Eternal
Can't change character skins.
Hey folks, I bought the deluxe edition of Doom Eternal a while back and was wondering how to choose the Demonic slayer skin that comes with the purchase (or any of the skins I've unlocked for that matter. I haven't created a Bethesda account, but do I need to in order to access the skin?

I'm not sure about the need to create a bethesda account, but I would do it if you don't have any real issue just in case.

To actually change your skin, you need to:
Click on Customize
Click on Slayer
Click on the first tab from the left (although, this should be the one that opens by default)

There you will see a full list of your skins for your slayer, and you can equip them as you will. You will not see skins you don't have.

It works the exact same way for the demons as well, just replace "Slayer" in the second step with a demon of your choice. Bear in mind, demon skins wont work in single player, only multiplayer.

As for unlocking more skins, they can be unlocked through the battlepass system, which is 100% free, and you can earn xp for this pass by just playing the game, doing certain challenges (play 5 battlemode matches, kill 3 cacodemons with a chainsaw, etc.) or by adding players as booster, in which a portion of the xp they earn also goes too you.

You can unlock 3 slayer skins (Classic, Training armour (?) and 2016) within the main campaign hub area.
You unlock 1 slayer skin (Phobos) by completing extra life mode
You unlock 1 slayer skin (Gold) by completing Ultra-Nightmare
You unlock various skins for demons and slayers by making a slayers club account, you get 1 slayer skin (that zombie one) upon creation.

Frankly, a majority of the slayer's club skins don't look great too me, but personal preference I guess.

Like I said prior, the battlepass is your best bet at getting skins for all playable characters.

I've collected all 3 slayer skins in single player, but I can't seem to change skins even on the main menu.
I had this issue for Pre-order bonus skins/drops, and this worked for me, after I created the Bethesda.net account. Then from the Game, go to Settings > Bethesda.net tab, and hit "Reconcile entitlements" button.

Hope this helps.
