Some help with motion sickness
I have been experiencing terrible motion sickness.

I have already turned motion blur and DOF off and I am playing at 60 hertz yet the problem persists. I also tried 144hz and the problem got much worse, my brain went full buffer overflow. What the hell should I do?

Strangely, I can play 2016 Doom like no other and I've been playing titles like Polybius on PSVR for extended periods. Is it those explosions and particles flying around?

Playing at 30 hertz is not an option for most of us as it's not for me. I bet someone else has experienced this same thing.

As an offtopic, this game nailed it proper so thanks for the devs. I especially like that you don't have to hunt for minions and other peasants after every encounter and new additions to movement are also welcome.

To add to my previous post, I can play this for something like 20 to 30 minutes and then I have to take a break.

Sounds like you have an inner ear problem or something, when I went from 60hz to 144hz the difference was unreal, I can stare at it all day without a headache or sore eyes.

Well....I only know of trying to keep sight of a horizon of some sort may help. There are also these goofy looking things, but personally unsure if they actually work or not. My friend has had motion sickness problems through life and I remembered him mentioning these both.

Hope you find a solution. https://lifestyle.citroen.com/en/shop/_/pr4619/lunettes-seetroen-inspired-by-you

Have you tried lowering the FOV? I had motion sickness with DUSK until I turned down the FOV slider and now I can rock that game for hours no problem. I play most games at 1080 144Hz.

Have you tried turning off weapon bobbing while moving? thats another cause of motion sickness, also you could play with a gentile fan blowing on you, that helps with VR motion sickness as well.

Does your monitor support any kind of black frame insertion? Usually you need to be above 60 Hz to do this, and the higher the better. If you're not sure, sometimes there's a gimmicky name for it. My KD25F calls it "Aim Stabilizer", but it's just black frame insertion. It removes pixel-level motion blur that's inherent with all LCD screens. Prior to this tech I HAD to use a CRT or I could not look at the motion on an LCD at all.

Check out https://blurbusters.com/ for information on this, and try the UFO tests to see what your monitor is doing.

A minor note on this... if your monitor supports GSync or FreeSync they may not be able to run at the same time as black frame insertion, so if the option is disabled in your monitor try playing with the settings a bit.

Didn't find anything on BFI. I have this mid-tier Asus MG278Q. Lowering FOV helped some but it's a pity because I like playing with FOV set to max. I also tried this game on my LG B8 which has BFI but only on 60hz. 120hz was better on LG tho and I didn't have any issues.

Same problem here, I tried different settings but nothing, 1440p 144hz monitor here, fps was way above 200 the whole time at ultra nightmare.
I just asked for a refund and called it a day, it gives me sickness and nausea even watching YT videos about it, but I though that playing would go better, sadly I was wrong.
Probably the game is too fast for me or something else idk, but I always had motion
sickness on fps games since the 90s.
The only fps games that I handle for few hours are COD warzone, Apex and CP2077.

Eating ginger root - it's tried and true for preventing motion sickness in vr.

I think it's wise if you go see a doctor.

That is unfortunate. Some people are simply unable to overcome visual sensitivity. :fuglsad:
