Also Seraphim is not a title, it is the name of a Maykr which is shown in the cutscene as the "Hooded Figure".
They how come the Doom Slayer is called Seraphim when he walks through the door to the Icon of Sin ritual?
urdak = your duck
Yeah, they're all evil and of Hell -- that is why DOOMGuy is wiping them out.
He gets it.
...There's a reason the supposed 'good guys'/'surviviors' use the term 'mortally challenged' like social sheep...It's a brush stroke to show that everyone/thing is fallen/corrupted -- and the DOOM Marine has come to cleanse it.
The cultists are spreading propaganda and telling the human survivors that the demons are the 'mortally challenged'.
Not sure what you are trying to say.
That I find your theory spot-on -- that the Maykrs and all their ministrations are of definite evil.
I also find the bloated meta-plotting of the game to be fatiguing and tiresome, at best. It's the most complexly unnecessary window-dressing ever.
...and a resistance movement (exactly what ARC is) would be wise to such propaganda -- unless they were, too, themselves, rotten in their base principles.
And UAC was split between cultists and not cultists.
ARC gives the broadcasts transmitted to the Fortress of DOOM -- and they clearly use the terminology -- betraying their blighted foundations.
I still believe there's no way they're not related to demons in some way. They just have way too many similarities, visual and societal. There are differences too, so they're not identical. And not just the superficial agreement they had. More of an ancestral, genealogical relation or somethin.
So ♥♥♥♥♥♥ true. I didn't see videos from AcidGlow or anyone else really thinking deeply into this. Even before Argent Energy, they've been doing similar things to mortal beings for YEARS. We don't know how, but they've been doing some, perhaps ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, things to subjugate mortals species and use our essence or something integral for us living individually. Once demons finally found there way to Argent D'Nur and the priests and Khan Maykr discovered Argent Energy, that trumped every way they used mortals before tenfold.
And Samuel Hayden? No way he's a Maykr. Nor Samur. I like your information about "The Seraphim." I appreciate your explanation of the meaning. Makes a lot more clarity. I like to think the end credits, showing them both with a "/" and voice actor, is a red herring. Like Batman's bat symbol on his chest. id software WANT people to focus on that and think it's the case, when in possible actuality it's not. Don't know for sure obviously, none of us do. I think some Youtuber's like AcidGlow are on the incorrect side for the story and lore.
I like your idea that maybe he is a previous races' priest like Maykr figure. Interesting. But =idk, I'm worried they may have convoluted the purity and simpleness of 2016's story and lore. This game definitely has story elements introduced that were never a part of 2016's story development. The challenge is making their new stuff meld with their original stuff so retcons and lore loopholes don't happen. Hopefully they improve and make it meld flawlessly. I want Samuel to still be human. They can make it work in my opinion, cause Samuel came from a very wealthy lineage, AND this mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥ was a genious. But they muffled, or perhaps sullied, that idea with Eternal's sudden portrayal or Samuel being an encyclopedia of Sentinel and Maykr history/ways. But an experienced encyclopedia. Like he went through that ♥♥♥♥ too. That's a retcon if they stick with it. And I don't like retcons of good story elements.
They know if you ask me. The Maykrs shared new knowledge with the Argenta for sure, but they were some smart people themselves. They engineered, the priests practiced mysterious rituals for the Wraiths. The many statues they have all over there lands and space faring vehicles depict the faces of Maykr Angels. The Maykrs are a pretty transparent species for the most part. They did tell the Argenta about their transfiguration and what it means. Or at least didn't hide the information so the Argenta couldn't figure it out. The Maykrs don't lie, they just withhold information. That's what I gather.
Totally. I don't think the Argenta might have been as peaceful and righteous as their own texts describe themselves as meaning. They mentioned the word crusade always with the prefix holy. They may have been sniffing their own stuff to con themselves into believing they were helping other civilizations. Security and living was their form of righteousness. True, individual freedom wasn't. Like their "honorable coliseums." The "freedom" you survived for was simply serving their armies. Uhhhhhh, no one isn't talking about that? Come on guys, Night Sentinels might have been good and cool compared to demons, but there peoples' history isn't the same, "admiration" worthy.
