I play for a bit all is good then a piece of the screen will turn black and if i move the mouse it grows and takes over the screen. if i hit escape and then go back it reverts back to normal for a minute then the same issue will happen over and over and over. ive been getting lots of game crashes today and yesterday
Specs: nvidia 445.78 1080Ti
settings: doesnt matter ive tried all of them at this point
At first I thought it was a memory issue, but since your ti has 11gb of vram, I doubt that's it.
Certainly! Asking if it's ok wasn't necessary, but thank you for being courteous.
Damn that sucks. Wish I had a suggestion for you. I can always reproduce the issue as soon as I disable vsync, but I have been fortunate that vsync works 100% of the time in my case to resolve the blackening screen. Hope this gets patched or that a gfx driver update may fix it very soon.
Power system down, switch off power supply/unplug. Hold system power button down a second or 2 to discharge any remaining current. Unseat and re-seat the graphics card. Clean card and slot with compressed air before if desired. Power back on.
Reinstall the graphics card drivers and possibly roll back. Use DDU to uninstall driver.
Verify integrity of game files and probably better to just uninstall and re-download to a different location. Can move later. Use v-sync and/or limit the frame rate.
