What actually gets you Event XP?

Just beat Arc Complex Mater level and replayed Nekravol and got 0 XP for both, does anyone know what gives XP for sure and what doesn't?
I've seen some confusion and no i am not talking about DOOM Level XP

I think Doom Level XP and Doom Event XP is linked but has separate progression systems. XP is gained from playing the game. (I don't know how much XP muliplayer gives as I have not played it yet)

It seems to reward you as you play, if you sit down and finish a mission then at the end of the mission it will show you the total amount of XP you got for that mission.

If you quit halfway and return later it only shows the XP you made after you booted up the mission again.

I know this as when I do multiple missions on extra life mode with Nightmare difficulty I am rewarded a total of 10700 XP. Though I left halfway through a mission and suddenly I was rewarded only 6500XP.

Further proof was given when I Alt+F4 right after I finished a mission. I opened the game again, got rewards from the event which meant I must've gained XP but when I continued my campaign, I was shown the end level screens which shown that I gained 0 XP. This could not be true because I gained rewards from the event.


I am not sure about the master levels and if it rewards XP.

I only got Doom XP from it, to the tune of 200k-something points, for beating Arc Complex. It doesn't give the blue event XP.

I played them from start to finish in one go from mission replay and it doesn't work now. Sometimes it does but usually it does not, idk what's going on, i'm assuming it's probably bethesdas trashy online integration.

Wait what?! I got 0 XP for beating both the master levels. I have NEVER received the 30K and 40K XP bonuses for finishing 4 and 8 challenges. And I have to sit and grind battlemode which I hate to complete the battlepass...

Yep, an astounding 0xp for the master levels. Also have the challenges xp bug, gg.

I put on cheats and replay the first level for 3800 event xp or the last level for 4800 event xp.

Just put on cheats and do the weekly challenges. I just did all but the battle mode one in less than 10 minutes.

But that's only 40K XP, barely enough to reach the first level of the battle pass

Thats it if the bonus xp's aren't working. Otherwise, you play battle mode and thats it champ.

Battle mode or start over a whole new game on nightmare completing every level full completion will net you 10,500K sometimes less i have completed 2 nightmare runs(since series 2 started) so far and have almost level 5 in the series 2( Ultra nightmare also gives you xp in this no matter how many times you retry) ....but if your talking about the bethesda points and levels then go on the forms

-- completing master levels will get you the yellow xp not the first one(completed on nightmare... I seemed to have gotten more points for less deaths and quicker time.)

... the levels that show on your player badge ...thats the only xp i get for doing master lvls.

The first XP pool is from just playing the game from start to finish again a whole new campaign or you can go on multi

Wish i could play battlemode but i constantly get "Unable to find any matches" error.

Yeah I'm confused as ♥♥♥♥ too. In the first pass it seemed like I could just play campaign and earn rewards? I never touched the weekly challenges.

Sometimes I got 0 xp from the master level, but then when I go in events from main menu it does consider the 10k event expirence, so probably it's just a minor bug; the exp is given.
Redoing some levels doesn't give you expirence exept for the ones with bosses (yellow bar) and the first level, reason unknown. Edit: you must not have any cheat on.
To be sure to gain exp you shoud restart a new game.
The higer the difficulty the more evet exp you recive, same for more object you collect, or challenge you do.
This at least is how I assume it works.

Doing a new campaign run gives you event xp on each mission complete again. You get more event xp with collectibles/secrets in levels and less when you die. If you exit out of a mission to the main menu and then continue you seem to lose your event xp? You also get event xp for battlemode matches, either private or public. You get more as you do more damage I think.
