Doom Hunter disappeared, got stuck, couldn't progress

Trouble with the first DOOM Hunter. After almost killing him 5 times and getting ticked off and random deaths I tried one more time. In the large room when the DOOM Hunter spawns in front of you I pulsed him until his shield was gone, then hit him with rockets until he flew up to the top level and as i hit him on the way up I lost track of him while taking down other demons before jumping up...but I truly lost him, as in he was gone... While up on top level it still said rockets locked on me every few seconds so I feel he got clipped into one of the walls, but the demons keep spawning forever. I spend 30mins looking for the dude while killing the demons but alas, I had to give up and reset the encounter.

Definitely bugged. That said, the game has been super stable for me, loads far quicker than DOOM 2016 and runs more consistent frame rate. Enjoying it so far...but not quite as much as DOOM 2016.

There's a massive hole in the middle you need to jump in that and it will take you to the second phase of the the fight... Good luck though, as two Doom Hunters spawn and after killing the first one, harder demons spawn. I would recommend getting rid of both their shields and lowering them so after finishing one, the other one is an easy kill and you dont have to worry about the more difficult demons.

OP will be delighted to finally know the solution after just four and a half years. Because they definitely haven't figured it out by now. Thanks for your service.
