On bugthesda launcher it worked without issue. They just forgot to put wads in steam version.
Agreed on IDKFA,but Brutal Doom makes the game too easy.
Besides, even a powerful modern system is unable to run several thousand enemy slaughter maps with that mod. I am not kidding.

The original crew at id didn't agree with the thought of censorship -- but did it out of respect to the Greatest Generation.
Doom Eternal also lets you directly play the game, IN GAME, on the doomslayers fortress PC, and it is a classic vanilla port if you prefer that way.
Yeah, this was done to the original Phobos episode of the first game where it appeared as a drop-down floor. The swastikas were always intended to be kept included in the DOOM2 secrets, because Wolfenstein is about killing Nazis.
If they get removed from there, it's just censorship.
I believe they are the actual BFG Edition wads - or at least they share the same issues, but don't seem to share the issues/fixes of the newer mobile ports.
