But yeah, he's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible enemy that isn't fun to fight. He's not hard when you know what he does, he's just incredibly annoying.
EDIT: Of course you need to unlock the perk to swap guns faster.
He's actually really slow. Just wait for him to come to you.
When fighting him stay calm, kill other thread if there is one, stay away form the zombies and let wait for him to flash green. Than super shotgun in his face. If you have the dexterity or skill you can combo with even more weapons.
Come on man, that's not very nice.
Unless you're in the timed secret fight. Then you want to go back to quickswap spam and maybe even the "Stun into feeding them the BFG"
On that note, don't bother using the Unmaker on the Maurader at any time. I've watched the marauder die when I shotgun them then feed them the BFG... and then later, watched them pull out their shield in the middle of being shredded by the Unmaker.
So much for "But the Unmaker is better than the BFG against single targets!"
That's how I fight him now. It takes some time, but i feel like it goes along with my flow more by racing around the arena instead of waiting for specific windows to attack.
I learned a few things during the timed encounter. He can only block in one direction at a time. He can't block when he's staggering. And he can't block while he's attacking. And sometimes, if he's far away, he doesn't seem to remember to block sometimes. And even if he does block, splash damage around the shield works.
edit: this obviously won't work during the time encounter of course.
nightmare or ultra nightmare never ever had problems with ammo
you can make yourself infinit ammo btw..... everywhere...... anytime...... and armor aswell........
