Experienced all the save slots problems (corrupt/erased/restored) after my first playthrough and now it doesn't save at all anymore.
I've tried checking files integrity via steam, reclaiming files on bethesda through the game and copying the saves folder in c/username...progress is erased each time i launch the game.
The save slots are unusable
I opened a ticket with Bethesda so maybe we'll get an answer in 17 years
You can view/download the cloud files here, may be useful to download those in case your old progress can be recovered: https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorageapp/?appid=782330
I was able to get progress to start saving again. My in-game and level progress is lost for good, but at least progress can be made again. To fix it:
1. Uninstall
2. Delete userdata folder for the game (...Steam \ userdata \ [user id] \ 782330)
3. Reinstall
4. In the Steam settings for the game, turn off Steam cloud sync
5. Launch the game, then exit
6. Turn Steam cloud sync back on. If you are prompted to use files in the cloud or local files, choose local files.
Should be set from there; the new uncorrupted files will continue to save and replace the previous files in the Steam cloud.
Bethesda took a long time to respond, and their response was a screenshot request. After already describing the issue and sending a dxdiag and msinfo... so I just started trying everything I could think of
