His hitbox is the smallest of all demons and he's very fast. His wolf and axe both deal respectable damage and he's capable of dealing fairly reliable damage too. Archvile is also very good, but the Revenant is questionable(try playing against a good Slayer, you'll get put into a corner with a single rail) and the Mancubus is downright useless against a good player. The Mancubus deals intense damage, but needs to be really close. He has no means of closing that gap. Even if you stick together a good Slayer will just rail your ally first, then finish you off in an unwinnable 1v1.
It's not same gameplay... simple logic. TDM with Doom Eternal gameplay would be awesome, i already played Quake Champions and Quake 3 Arena nor Quake Live was way better in any points. They are not Doom any way
Want proof? 3.1% of Doom Eternal Players unlocked the "Mix and Match" achievement:
*Play as 5 different Player Demons in BATTLEMODE*
2.6% of Doom Eternal Players unlocked the "Man vs Monsters" achievement:
*Play 25 BATTLEMODE matches*
The majority of steam battlemode players didn't even bother to try out every playable demon, and under 3% even made it to 25 games.
and you're gonna tell me its anywhere near as rewarding, balanced, or engaging as traditional arena deathmatch?
If "Doom Eternal: BattleMode" hit the shelves as a standalone game, nobody would play it.
