QoL suggestion: Saving on demand in Fortress of Doom

This has become a bit annoying over time. After some missions, I need to take a small break, but still am tempted to do some relaxing wandering in the Fortress, unlocking stuff, speccing new upgrades or inspecting newly collected items.
But the game has almost no checkpoints in the Fortress, meaning you kind of have to start a mission so that it checkpoints at least there, and then quit for the night safe in the knowledge that your progress is saved from the Fortress.
In the Fortress it really just needs a "Save on Exit" option.

(Also Ripatorium needs more control, like a console where you can select the demons you want to spawn in, the amount, how many waves, some modifiers like currently unlocked cheats etc)

Exit to Main Menu is the "Save on Exit" option. The game says "Your latest progress will be saved" (meaning collectibles, unlocks etc.).

OOOhhhhh, I've always exited to desktop, and then it doesn't save, how weird, seems like an easy fix though on ids part to make it apply on both.

yeah dont do that.

also DO NOT HIT "RESET MISSION"

master levels will also reset you in the fortress

Sounds like these could use some fixing, hopefully soon :/
