Dude, its his money let him do what he wants.
Some of us make enough to buying multiple copies of doom eternal is nothing.
I dont know why you have to constantly push your opinions in such rude and childish ways. First you called everyone who didnt agree with you about similarities with this and quake stupid now youre telling people what to not spend their money on. -_-
anyway, op did you get it fixed?
I WANTED to do exactly what you did for the doom 2 class of '94 banner cause it looks great, the skins are all meh but I already own literally 8 copies of doom 2 so.... im not gonna buy another copy since they are 100% trying to get money....
But hey, I also am the type to spend like $500 on mircotransactions for cosmetics so i cant be talking xD My steam spending alone is near $30,000. >_>
I'm not massive on micro transactions (it has been years since I played an mmo with the wifu, that was the time I spent money on MTX)
I would spend quite a bit on Path of Exile though, if I had the time to play it :p

Anyway, running Doom through Bnet took a ridiculous time just to get into the game - just a warning in case you think something's gone wrong. Nope, just really slow start up. Eternal started up faster

And unless the profile you remember seeing had my photo then it most likely wasn't me cause I only ever use my actual photos now.... which is why I had to do proof photos and stuff them in my artwork lol.

You can link your Steam Doom 2 to it?
Or did your 'original' doom was on the bethesda launcher?
As for mircotransactions, ugh im a huge sucker for cosmetics. I dont ever buy anything to boost stats but you give me mounts, player houses, or outfits i'll buy most of that up.
Regarding the linking:
I couldn't do this with Steam Copies of Doom and Doom II
once I bought them on Bnet (basically bought them as MTX as I won't ever play them through Bnet) I ran the games from the Bnet Launcher and in those copies of the games there's an extra option when you have the menu up
You log in through Bnet and link them
For Linking Doom I, I got the indigo classic doomguy (I was expecting green :\) and I got the doomguy icon and sharware warrior title.
Doom II gave me Brown doomguy, Icon of Sin Icon, and Class of '94 titles
So that's what I paid 12$ for lol
As for MTX, that's where PoE is shines, there's basically no Pay to Win there. Probably the only games still around that is like that that I've played - never played warframe. But give it time, 10cent bought it. I don't trust those a-holes.
Yeah, the classic doom guy skin, the green one you want, you can unlock in the fortress with 2 sentinel batteries.
I REALLY just want the class of '94 title honestly, it looks really good.
And ugh yea i wouldnt put it pass them to shove more cosmetics or pay-to-win over actual content now that they bought them. :|
I saw that skin there, I'll probably unlock it once I get all the suit upgrades.
I'm assuming Linking Doom 3 or BFG gives us a Red Classic Doomguy skin - not sure though. I never liked D3 I really don't want to buy it again, once was painful enough.
And yeah, for that title you need to buy D2 on Bnet, and link it there. Try looking on google or reddit, maybe there's a way around it. I was unsuccessful in finding one so I just bought the game again.
it is a waste of money considering the guy had the games already.
Im sure if people cry enough bethesda would actually update the games on steam to allow us to get the skins too.

His goal was to get cosmetics.
He put a value on how much that means to him.
Thats how i look at it, wouldnt be the first time someone spent money to get extra cosmetics.
Rendering the games useless and a waste as they were already in this person possession
He didnt buy the game to have the game.
He bought them for the cosmetics.
If I can only buy something because its bundle and have no use for the other product what so ever am i wasting money since i cant get that product anywhere else non-bundled?
I mean, like I said it isnt a waste. He knew he had the game but he wanted the skins....
