Marauder + BFG = BOOM

I am sick and tired of people complaining about the Marauder, you are simply not smart enough to kill him, it's all about timing and they literally tell you how to kill him.

A quick way is to time BFG shots.

True, he will block it 90% of the time.
For my part I use the grenade from the shogun. I also read that deonate a rocket behing him is good too, tho I didnt tried yet

I think the marauder is aight.

But to be fair, the way they tell you how to defeat him is complete BS.

It's much better to try to shoot explosives behind him and stun him than wait for his green eyes. They also lie about how being farther away causes him to throw projectiles, which is bs, he just throws them whenever he wants.

You didn't say how to actually deal with the blocking, you have to falter him first or distract him with another damage source.

Its pretty up in the air if you are going to kill him with a BFG or not because he shields during his green eyes if the BFG fires. Its possible, I've done it when I had infinite BFG shots but 2 shots possible when you have max ammo and you are telling people to waste a BFG shot for 1 marauder? xD

I've done it.
You have to be INCREDIBLY lucky on timing though.

I've pulled it off once without using the infinite ammo floppy and then a few times with using it.
Its a waste of a BFG shot though.

But anyways, dont call people liars if you dont know for sure because... we'll you're the one lying now.

Hell, I didnt know it was possible to kill marauder with the crucible sword but even that is possible.

Please stop spreading your falsehoods about the shield. People have already tried to explain this to you.

Marauder cannot block you if he's stunned or blocking something else or doing something else. It's not automatic in all situations either.

Personally don't use the sword and the BFG as they feel cheap - but using the latter to kill a Marauder seems really overkill. The Marauder can be killed in 2 staggers using SSG>Balista>Rocket launcher or Balista>SSG>Balista. You can also hit him with rockets if you're really desperate, by aiming at his feet a slight bit to the side.

Just finished the game on Nightmare.

I am an average skilled player at best, once i worked out how to do this it made them allot easier.

Wait for green eyes, Just shoot him with the super shotgun followed by Ballista. Have weapon swaps on "q". You only have to do this about 3 times and they are dead.

This is what I did for the secret encounter where you have to kill it in about 15 seconds. Not using the lame weapon switching glitch that should not exist. Timed BFG shot does it.

Can confirm the BFG works on him. I did it at the secret encounter the exact moment when his eyes turned green and it oneshotted him. You have to be very quick with it though, that secret encounter was a ♥♥♥♥♥.
