Is there a way to disable developer console?

Seriously what a stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ oversight for such a high paced game. Every time i go to switch to shotgun, CONSOLE COMES UP cause my fat pink slightly hits the tilde..

pretty sure you can bind the console command key to something else.

or reposition that key by editing the registry with sharpkeys etc. for example, I change windows key, because if you hit it, sometimes you go to desktop with some games

Yeah my keyboard lets me turn off the windows key, i'm actually so old and so used to it, that i can avoid the windows key pretty easily now lol.

The tilde on the otherhand...

Haven't checked but I'm assuming you can rebind developer console in the same way you can any other in-game function.

Get a Razer keyboard that let's you disable keys? I assume other companies also offer this but I can only speak for the Razer I use. I actually have caps-lock permanently turned off for everything. A nice keyboard makes all the difference in gaming imo.

I'm using a Razer Cynosa Chroma[www.razer.com] if you're curious.

Curious, why do you have Caps lock disabled?

Mostly because I'm a sloppy typer and I routinely accidentally hit caps-lock instead of "a" and eND UP WITH TEXT LIKE THIS that I have to retype when I finally look up from my keyboard... never did learn to blind type. :(

If you get a Steelseries Apex Pro keyboard, you can make some keys harder to press in the software. The keyboard uses variable-actuation magnetic key switches.

That's funny, i guess since i've been doing this for so long (I'm OLD!!! (36)) that i'm able to somehow avoid the windows key and caps lock now.

I used to hit both of em al the time, esp when the windows key was first invente..... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i'm old....

My keyboard has a windows key block and i have not yet turned it on on purpose. It actually infuriates me when i turn it on by accident and i can't figure out why my start/search isn't working

Tried to rebind, it just brought up the console instead. How do I get rid of it if I am bad at computers and don't know how to enter the registry mainframe or whatever to disable it?

I know this is like a year old but...I have the same problem and I just pull the keycap off while I am playing, OK not as sophisticated as re-assigning the key, it's just quick and dirty, and ripping the thing off they keyboard is pretty satisfying after you have accidentally mashed it for the 10th time, and when you have finished playing just stick it back on for all those important tilde uses.

that seems like asking to much of a customer that bought someones ♥♥♥♥ they couldnt fix themselves
