Stuck on 40 FPS
Hi guys, I have a problem. My Doom Eternal on some point stucked at 40 FPS.
Disableing Steam Overlay, changing modes (fullscreen, borderless), changes in video settings (low/high) - all do nothing.
I play at 3440x1440 (native). Please help.

-----

Update:
I play at Notebook MSI GP63 with i7-8750H, GTX1060, 16GB RAM. Monitor 34" 3440x1440, 100Hz
It ran 70-80 FPS at few first runs. Then it stucked (I changed nothing).

Drivers are up-to-date.

It runs 40 FPS no matter if on low and lowest resolution, on or my settings and 3440x1440.

Steam overlay is disabled. I also tried closing all other apps in the background.

How i am supposed to help you if you don't post your specs?...

Try reduce your resolution? Not many people have 4k monitors so playing at that resolution seems pointless if you don't have one.

Specs doesn't matter. When I first ran the game, it ran at ~70-80 FPS
(Notebook, I7-8700, GTX-1060). Now it stucked at 40 FPS no matter which video options I choose (even on lowest settings).

I did nothing on Windows/game settings in the meantime (I ran L4D2 and switched screens from laptop to external dispaly few times, after I ran Doom again, it stucked at 40 FPS).

It's set to 100 (my screen's refreshing rate)

Nope, still "MSI" settings that = to highest performance. Notebook is powered (I have this issue for a few days now).

I have 34" 3440x1440 monitor and this is a native resolution (so no 4k, "just" 1440p ;) )

Have you tried toggling Vsync?

Your resolution is too high for your video card.

I had this issue on launch but fixed it by simply turning off the Steam Overlay. The only other thing I can maybe see to change is for you to go into the NVIDIA Control panel and make sure that the game is running through your GPU and not CPU. Steam with some games may default open with running through the CPU as I've experienced this. If that doesn't work, then I would legit just reinstall since you said it worked fine on first load.

OK, I fixed it!
It turned out, that I had somehow enabled "Whisper mode" for Doom.

Resolution:
1. Open Nvidia panel
2. Open "Applications settings"
3. Search for Doom
4. Scroll down to "Whisper mode" and change FPS cap.

I'm happy AF that I've finally found the solution ;)

Also, remember to disable steam overlay, I got horrible frame drops because of it.
