How much this effects you is how many costumes you buy early assuming "More than you need" is a notable amount, before you get at least the crystals and one or two of the mod bots in your base.
Thankfully, I'm a bitter cynic enough to have assumed so! Was totally worth it getting the classic outfit ASAP though.
Praetor suit tokens are a bit more generous on that note. While weapon points are a bit tight even if you stop to clear slayer gates and secret fight if you want to upgrade ALL your mods. But more than good enough if you only want to master your personal favorites ASAP.
Speaking of wacky tokens. Mastery tokens are convenient, but there are only enough for a free pass on about half your mods. But of course, by the time you find mastery tokens you'll probably have everything you don't find annoying to master done already anyways, and have some to spare.
"60 proximity rocket kills? Easy. Both chaingun masteries? Easy. Both ballista masteries? Already done. Super shotgun mastery? You got it! ...Oh my god I still don't have 75 headshot kills with the scope mode uuuuugh."
Have you completed all the mission chalenges though?
I have 4. Also some spare suit points and arsenal points (like 7?).
I guess it's for preparation for DLC maybe?
Might be. But i think it's made for people who didn't want to do all the things in the previous missions so they can unlock the skins in the fortress or whatever
In hindsight, I figured out the dissconnect between "There is one spare battery" and "No there are FOUR spare batteries!"
You can only get one spare battery tops, before the point of no return. The rest are of no use to you until you beat the game.
