If you're going to compare immigration to a demonic invasion of earth, at least be funny. The jokes come off more as pandering than an earnest attempt at humor. If I subscribed to the questionable worldview of the joke's target audience, I think I would feel insulted instead of just bored.

Just for fun, I challenge anyone to explain why the joke: "The Earth is the universe's melting pot," is funny without sounding like a scumbag.

The spokesperson had some good lines, but the characters referring to the demons as, "mortally challenged" just made me feel less sympathetic for the Earth survivors. They're demons, call them what they are damn it. People are saying that those who don't find it funny are, "triggered" or "offended", I just think it's silly is all. Like putting yourself into the world of Doom, into the shoes of Doomguy, it's funny hearing the UAC try to play it off as if the demons are "mortally challenged" by giving them a less-threatening nickname, which is what a lot of these softies irl will try to do but hearing the survivors call them that too???

yeah, this game knows its audience is a bunch of drooling boomer brains who will laugh at the most asinine referential garbage.

However the gameplay is top tier, and overshadows everything else, but also happens to be the least boomer friendly thing.
