How? I've watched a couple of walk thrus and they appear to somehow "boost" over. I've tried countless variations of jumping/double jumping off the "elevator" piece but with the same result? Is this indicative of what awaits in the rest of the game?

bro you just jump, swing on the pole, wait until you reach the highest point, and jump again.

How do you "swing on the pole"? Only thing I can do is "parkour" off the pole for an immediate 2nd jump = death.

Is this an "easy" platform compared to what comes later?

the parkour is the swing and it rewards you with a second jump.

have you tried pressing space in the air after you swing maybe?

i hate to break it to you, but that jump has showed up in other threads and people had to post videos of it because its such an easy and thoughtless jump that most people dont remember it even exsists.

Yea, that doesn't work. Watched videos of it being done, and can't repeat it. Of course they have some sort of super speed I don't have and guns I don't have and insane health I don't have and unlimited ammo I don't have...so I am guessing cheat codes are involve. I just want to play a FPS not a puzzle game I have to cheat at.

to be fair, they do go a little overboard with the platforming and early on alot of the time "I" personally felt I just wanted to go from combat to combat. the platforming is there to teach you movement, if you can master the platforming IN COMBAT - it will help you dominate some of the more challenging demons.

I cant do it either. I`ve played lots of FPS, complex movement involved during Ut2004 times. But this is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

It's very difficult the first few times, no doubt. Wait until the pole (yellow bar) is at the very top. Then run and jump (space bar for me), then jump again when your at the highest point from the first jump, try to hit the far left end of the pole, this will swing you up, wait until you're at the highest point, then jump one more time. the battle begins, make sure your shotgun is ready, with sticky bombs. Hope this helps, I was stuck there too, takes practice.

Man. Is this the same jump I'm on. I might be cracking on..... I made it the first go now I'm stuck I've made it a couple of times on low health from falling lol. What am I doing wrong I was flying though the game. I must have spent an hour on it. I just wana get over yhe other side and mash up zombies

Jump, swing on pole (wait for the pole to be at the high point), jump again (make sure you aren't jumping *too* soon) and you've made it.

Weird. I think of all the things I had problems with in Eternal, the platforming was the least of them. I had a slight struggle in Urdak at the very beginning but nothing worth talking about.
