CONSTANT crashing on Taras Nabad

I love this game, been playing through my first playthrough on Nightmare and wow has it been a blast. Well, until I made it to Mission 9 (I believe?) Taras Nabad. With 100 percent certainty my game crashes and boots to desktop in the section where you have to dive down into the poison water for the first time.

I've killed all the enemies but every time I walk over to the RAD Suit, boom crash and kicked to desktop. I then tried my best to brute force swimming through the poison water without any RAD suit but I didn't have enough health. So I restart the mission, get full health and armor after the fight and actually make it through the water section with enough health. As soon as I exit the water near the next objective (right by a praetor suit token and two climbable walls) boom, crash and kicked to desktop.

I've crashed over 20 times now just trying so hard to be able to keep playing this awesome game, it's beyond frustrating and about to give up for good. I've verified the integrity of the game cache multiple times and updated my Nvidia drivers as well.

Anyone else suffering this BS?

didnt crash for me at all using 440.97 nvidia drivers, I read somewhere here on forums that if you check for updates for a game and then trying to scan and repair it should works

Same here.
It's not consistent to any one point, but I've reached Taras Nabad and after some time of playing, the game will invariably crash straight back to desktop.
The only bright spot is seing that it's a fairly common issue, so at least it's not my PC that's faulty.
