Report a translation problem
As Snow said, they're largely gone. Those times I've died where just me falling over into the ground then a black screen appeared asking to either quit or restart.
Here, it's more of a "oh, he's dead, okay, back to doing nothing."
And if it was such a huge loss of time - add a toggle in options, problem solved.
Yeah I miss these too :/. gave each of the demons a lot of personality back in 2016.
Now it just feels like you either suddenly turn to mush or just "doomguy fall down", considering how much they amped everything else up this just seems oddly boring and a step-down.
Maybe there was such a greater amount of enemy variety they didn't want to animate them all, or they anticipated a lot more player deaths and thought the time locked in these animations would just frustrate the player- but I liked them, and it made a better impression of what killed me.
