Yeah they gave you free respawning crucible ammo, but it kind of became this annoying "well ♥♥♥♥ time to get the sword out and try to kill everything large and hopefully get some damage on the icon before more spawn". The fight itself was epic, but it became tiring once you hit the second part.
It was extremely hard - one of the hardest boss fight I ever had in years. That HP bar is so big... and dying when you don't have 1 ups means starting it all over. I felt like a god when I finally took him down.
Omg this so much this...
It was fun though, definitely beats the Spider Mastermind from 2016. And the buildup is amazing.
They were really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ needed on UV.
The boss as a spectacle is amazing, but mechanic wise the Icon of Sin is, in my opinion, the only time I really didnt have fun in the game (along side battlemode, ♥♥♥♥ that too. Give me back my deathmach).
Big oof
