Mission Select

The game is telling me I'm about to embark on the last mission and I want to go back and grab one item I missed on an earlier level but I'm not seeing any way to select missions. Am I just retarded? Am I missing something? There's no option anywhere in any of the menus or buttons on the fortress of doom.

Please help

Where you press the ball to activate the portal look to your right and there is a screen with an ability to choose a mission. Unless it's locked before last mission.

I don't think so. I saw someone mention he just farmed extra lives on the same level on Ultra-Nightmare. What I meant is that I don't know if the game locks it before last mission.

You don't have to beat the game to unlock mission replay.

On that note, I can select previous missions to return to, but only the first level has the "fast travel" option. Did I miss something? I thought every level was supposed to have various spots you could spawn into.

It looks like only certain levels have fast travel. Like the second one, since you cross dimensions from exultia to hell. Or sentinel prime since you... walk around for a while. Honestly it's just random. Most levels don't have that feature either, which makes it that much more baffling as to why it was even included if I can't go back to collect something I missed early anway without restarting the level, unless it's one of the first levels, where I can replay the whole level not only quickly, but without any difficulty.
