Why does everyone say "mortally challenged"?
I know it is a whole joke poking at liberals or something from the trailers and stuff but I find it kinda annoying when even the arc survivors on the radio are calling them "the challenged" why not just call em demons?

They prefer to be called demons, because there's nothing wrong with them being demonically challenged.

When earth first encountered the demons, The humans of earth were completely in the dark of who their invaders were. The existence of Demons was only known by UAC cultists and some politicians. The UAC cultist propaganda referred to the demons as mortally challenged to trick humans to get their souls harvested, Scientists we're also blindsided by the existence of spiritual beings like the demons and instead referred to them as the UAC did.

It's a running joke making fun of identity politics. Also a jab at mega corporations that claim to be all for inclusion yet are involved in some of the worst human rights violations of the 21st century.

Also, later on in the game it's revealed that demons mutate from the husks of dead humans after their souls have been extracted and processed for argent energy. So in a way, all the demons the slayer kills are former humans.

It says a lot that 'mortally challenged' isn't being seen by everyone as a similar euphemism to 'Alt-right'.

As for why ARC staff call them 'the challenged' instead of demons, consider why news pundits use 'alt-right' instead of 'racists and neo-nazis'

Oh boy. This comment...

News pundits don't say 'racists and neo-nazis' because that would be slander. I know progressives love to name-call conservative white people the most hyperbolic terms imaginable, for the simple crime of not hating their own race and for not helping to facilitate the conquest, replacement and destruction of their own race, but if a corporation does that, they can actually get sued.

Someone who is alt-right isn't necessarily "racist", nor a "neo-nazi"... whatever the latter is supposed to even mean. The usage of that label is often completely nonsensical. The nazis invaded, conquered and annexed the territory of other people. They committed ethnic cleansing against the natives of those territories, in order to replace them with Germans for greater German living space. They committed genocide against groups of people deemed problematic and undesirable. I don't know any alt-right person who advocates for any of those things. So how are they "nazis" exactly? I doubt you'll be able to explain.

As for "racist"... What is racism? This has become such a subjective accusation, with people making up their own definitions and some stretching the spectrum for what qualifies as far as they can, to include every sentiment and preference they personally disapprove of.

Originally "racism" meant to believe in a hierarchy in which certain races were deemed superior and inferior, and then making laws and organising society according to that hierarchy. I don't know any alt-right people who believe that any race is superior to any other race.

Let me tell you what isn't racism:
- Liking your own race
- Finding your own race the most beautiful
- Preferring to reproduce within your race
- Desiring the preservation of your race
- Opposing the mistreatment of your race
- Opposing your race being at the mercy of the political power of another race.
- Being skeptical of diversity and not buying into the "diversity is a strength" platitude.
- Believing that people have a right to self-segregate if they so please.
- Opposing blanket discrimination against white people on the basis of racial quotas and box-ticking.
- Opposing the creations of your own race being stolen and given to another (famous white characters created by white authors in European folklore and fiction being race-swapped to give representation to Africans, who have no right to that representation and had no part in creating those characters and stories).
- Opposing the rewriting of history to replace your race with other races (race swapping white historical figures with non-whites, as is the case with the Anne Boleyn series in which she is played by a black actress).
- Opposing the extinction of your race
- Opposing mass immigration of foreign races into the native European territory and homeland of your race
- Opposing foreign races replacing your own race as the majority in your native European territory and homeland
- Opposing the negative impact that large scale racial diversification will have on the native European people inside their ancestral European homelands
- Opposing the native people of Europe becoming a minority in Europe and being ruled over, dominated, oppressed and exploited by a foreign immigrant racial majority.
- Opposing the promotion of race mixing and white extinction as a result of mixing
- Disapproving of interracial relationships on the grounds of them bringing about the decline of your race and its distinct character and appearance
- Disapproving of interracial relationships within your family on the grounds of preferring your children to reproduce within their own race in order to preserve it and its distinct character.

Most people of the alt-right believe in various of the above.

^ Necroing with that should net you a ban and a locked topic pretty quickly.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
