Infiltrate the cultist base parkour

I've been stuck on this one puzzle in the cultist base for hours, the one where you have to take a lift up and jump/dash around a wall to a pitted area. It seems like its impossible to actually grab the pitted area. am I doing this wrong?

Yes, and you're not the only one.
Just go with the marker to the button - monkey bar will come up and after jumping from that, you simply shoot green button in the air and dash to the wall.

It can be done the way you want it, but it requires pixel perfect precision.

to open up the monkey bar?

I just figured it out, you have to take the first lift down to a set of doors. For some reason the first time I tried that it gave me an environmental kill, so I assumed that wasnt the way to do it.
