Can't link Bethesda account
What the title says, I can't link my Steam and Bethesda accounts but can link Nintendo and Twitch accounts. Anyone else got this problem?

The problem is that I have a Bethesda account linked to my Twitch account and Nintendo account and stuff, however Doom Eternal on PC seems to have automatically linked itself to an account I didn't even know existed. Now I don't seem to be able to log out of that account and can't link my Steam to the bethesda account with my twitch, etc accounts already linked. I can play the game fine it's just I thought you got little outfits and stuff for playing the other games on the same account. I should've said all this in the post's description but I didn't know what was causing the problem at the time and just wondered if anyone was also having problems.

I've been getting the run-around from their customer service agents since the game launched. I cannot get them to unlink the unauthorized Bethesda.net account Doom Eternal created used outdated data from my Steam account (in my case, an email address I haven't used in a decade).

While I haven't had them take action yet, the agents have messaged me asking for the following:

1) The email of the Bethesda.net account I want unlinked from Steam.
2) The ID of the Bethesda.net account I want unlinked from Steam.
3) The ID of the Steam account.
4) An general explanation of what I want them to do.
5) A confirmation that I am aware of the data that will be lost and cannot be restored (if I lose my pre-order bonuses, I'll fight that battle at a later time).

And here is a link to their ticket system (you will need a Bethesda.net account, which you already have if you created a Slayer's Club account like I did): https://help.bethesda.net/app/incident

I hope that can save others some time.

Not sure what this means... you type in an active Bethesda account when you start the game and nothing happens?

Btw, if you play the game in offline mode, you can play the single player without the Bethesda account

I didn't ask me to type in a Bethesda account when I started the game, I went onto Bethesda's website to link it which didn't work.

Why did none of you not just use the account to log into the actual game? Especially if it even says on the Bethesda forum that its already linked?

The game didn't ask me to login and it doesn't seem like it lets you log out

Hmmm... well, I think its fishy how this connecting the Bethesda account works, because as you seem to have found out, once you link it, it just seems to stay linked... across your Steam account. Not just this one game.

Not sure why it would affect Twitch and other stuff, that just seems strange. Shouldnt Twitch support being linked to both types of accounts, whether they are linked to each other or not?

I have so far managed to avoid linking the account by putting Steam in offline mode.

I did a quick google and... holy moly. They actually ask you to make a TICKET to deal with this. Its not some common feature, you actually need Bethesda staff to help with it... I hope they fix that.

submitted ticket, been one day.. still nothing
REDMVGE Mar 21, 2020 @ 12:43pm
the game (DOOM Eternal) auto-assigned an email address for me with a wrong email, now I'm stuck with this as the game doesn't allow for making changes to that tab.
