The classic levels in 2016 had a large error where all the wall textures were flipped upside down - John Romero even pointed it out and it sort of became a gag. So when you click on that wall it turns itself the correct side up and a cheer sound plays.
Ahhh okay, so that explains it. I found that little classic Doom texture Easter egg in Eternal and I was confused when it spun around and I heard the "Yaaaaay!" I was like: "Um... Okay..."
Now I understand. Pretty brilliant and hilarious Easter egg.
