GAME WILL NOT LAUNCH

I'm hoping to make this discussion for everyone who is having issues to discuss what is going on, what worked for them and other possible solutions. I pre-ordered the game and have been working on trying to get it to launch for the past 3 hours or so. I've tried turning off steam overlay, making an exception to scan the game folder in windows defender, installed reshade, tried uninstalling reshade, the list goes on. You wanted a bethesda launch, you got one, so lets try to just figure this out rather than being toxic like I've seen in some of these other discussions and get everyone playing.

Reinstalled the game
Reinstalled nvidia drivers with check box on clear install

Nothing changed - id laucnher pops up and then disappear with my hope to play....

Comp specs:
i7-6700
nvidia gtx 980
16 gb ram
500 gb ssd
latest drivers

been trying to get it to launch for hours i even unstalled steam and reinstalled uninstalled doom re installed doom installed shaders uninstalled shaders , deleted my gpu drivers and re installed and still not letting me play . its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ retarded

I am having a same issue. Installed Rainbow Six and Uplay (Ubisoft stuff) and since last night none of my games will launch. I literally bought this computer a week ago so plenty of memory. I added exclusion for Steam in Windows defender, ran system updates and driver updates, verified game cache files, and checked the system requirements. Only thing I installed on this com was a printer to print wedding invites. I also uninstalled the games and steam and reinstalled it. I am at my wits end. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think they, or Nvidia, somehow broke vulkan, because all games using vulkan won't start, for example: No Man's Sky, it says "Vulkan Initialization Failure", I'm trying to clean reinstall the driver

Edit: I found some files from "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps" with names of "idTechLauncher.exe.<numbers>.dmp" they containing the data about what was in memory when it crash

Well, my game DID launch. Sometimes. Sometimes not, just black screen. And sometimes its crash. Even if i have good enouth PC and between crashes game run without problems. Oh yes! Its always crash then i try to do screenshot. Dunno why, techsupport derping as usual for bethesda ts.
Game is great, but performance issues ruin big part of it.

Has anyone tried reinstalling Windows ?
I think this may be due to a windows update, since I recently tried to run doom 2016 and got an error

I clean reinstalled my graphic card driver and it fixed everything, I can play now. Try it.
