No I figured someone would say that. I am serious. All I want is a yea or no. No need to comment if you don't like my beliefs and what not.
probs not killing demons or my main title angels? Are the "angels" in the game not really angels or corrupted somehow?
"Khan Maykr, or the Supreme Maker, is the supreme ruler of the heavenly realm of Urdak and the leader of the Makyrs, a race of angelic beings serving as the main antagonist in Doom Eternal. She is voiced by Nika Futterman, who previously played as the voices of Asajj Ventress from Star Wars, and Zagara from StarCraft II.
The Khan Maykr is one of the many Khan Maykrs that is birthed by the Singularity, the collective consciousness of Urdak to lead the Maykr race. Due to the disappearance of the Father, the progenitor of the Maykr race, the Khan Maykr is able to rule Urdak without limit."
So your not really fighting angels or God, but some odd made up race. Good to know. I wont feel as bad buying the game then if that's the case. Thanks!
Or are the angels from your religion mechanical beings who threaten humanity with destruction? Didn't think so.
What's wrong with that wiki?
My main reason to pre-order was the fact they are offering the N64 Doom with it.
Your probably right, and I do tend to ignore most of the jokes/etc in media that makes fun of Christianity. I even played D3, but there at least you were still killing demons while in heaven. It just seems wrong to kill actual angels even in a video game, or for that matter if you were to fight God or something stupid. Thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case, and it's actually just some made up race and they are not bringing the bible or anything serious into it. Regardless it's just pixels on a screen so whatever. Now I just need to decide if I want to preorder for that Doom 64 game :D.
Also @ the guy that posted on my profile. I am not a Catholic, and sadly most of them are not really Christians. I am a Protestant Christian. I wont allow comments on my profile that bash any form of religion though so I removed your comment.
doomwiki.org - THIS is the real Doom wiki; made and controlled by longtime important members of the community and actual, serious moderators that give a ♥♥♥♥.
Anyone who lets religion stop them from doing something marginally reasonable or enjoying something within said reasoning is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron and loses all rights to an opinion. Keep your religious beliefs out of something that is meant to be entertainment and just enjoy the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Honestly if your beliefs are so core to who you are as a person then honestly you should stay away from anything that might influence them negatively, that or if you're so scared that your god is gonna smite you for playing a video game then you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up interpretation of god for thinking he cares enough for such a thing to matter.
Whether you like it or not there's people out there who follow a different moral code than you. Imagine that you believed in gods existence to the same extent that you believed in your mothers existence. Is it then really that hard to imagine that you would want to refrain from funding the people who are ridiculing the person or deity that you believe to have given you life?
I'm not a follower of Christ but seeing bigoted comments like your really activates my almonds. Perhaps it's your opinion that should be discarded since you can't respect others.
