So do you actually fight angels?

I seen articles saying both ways. That your just fighting demons in heaven, or that your actually going to be fighting arch angels. I am just wondering which it is before I pre-order. I don't mind slaying demons, but I will avoid this if they want us to start slaying angels and portraying them negatively as well. I am hoping not, as I like Doom and have since back in the late 90's. But, I am a Christian and don't feel like playing a twist like that. I even played Diablo 1-3, but they always had the angels as being the good guys.

I don't care to hear people's opinions here, as I know this thread will probably get derailed. I just want a yes, or a no, or a link please. Thanks!

I had no issues killing angels in Dark Souls 3, I would not hesitate to do it in DOOM too.

Pre-ordering games is worse than sodomy(fact). Give it a day or two after release and can see, before spending your money, what angle they're taking with this depicted heaven.

My main reason to pre-order was the fact they are offering the N64 Doom with it.

Your probably right, and I do tend to ignore most of the jokes/etc in media that makes fun of Christianity. I even played D3, but there at least you were still killing demons while in heaven. It just seems wrong to kill actual angels even in a video game, or for that matter if you were to fight God or something stupid. Thankfully that doesn't seem to be the case, and it's actually just some made up race and they are not bringing the bible or anything serious into it. Regardless it's just pixels on a screen so whatever. Now I just need to decide if I want to preorder for that Doom 64 game :D.

The "fan" wiki for doom (and most of the other ones that are on Fandom) is an incompetent, amateur, haphazard, and wonky piece of ♥♥♥♥. The mods and the authors there can't even settle on a conclusion to Doomguy and Doomslayer's plot, so they just do whatever the hell they want and put a different story for every damn article you read.

Anyone who lets religion stop them from doing something marginally reasonable or enjoying something within said reasoning is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moron and loses all rights to an opinion. Keep your religious beliefs out of something that is meant to be entertainment and just enjoy the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Honestly if your beliefs are so core to who you are as a person then honestly you should stay away from anything that might influence them negatively, that or if you're so scared that your god is gonna smite you for playing a video game then you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up interpretation of god for thinking he cares enough for such a thing to matter.

Whether you like it or not there's people out there who follow a different moral code than you. Imagine that you believed in gods existence to the same extent that you believed in your mothers existence. Is it then really that hard to imagine that you would want to refrain from funding the people who are ridiculing the person or deity that you believe to have given you life?

I'm not a follower of Christ but seeing bigoted comments like your really activates my almonds. Perhaps it's your opinion that should be discarded since you can't respect others.
