climate change is real
this would be like devs change doom to a nyan cat shooter. so when the poles are molten there will be a nyan cat shooter maybe ;P but there still will be blood and gore in doom without the option to turn it off like u cant turn on and off ice at the poles ;)
maybe u should ask in the nyan cat forums to turn off rainbows and sparkles?! :P
But... I could, in all honesty, do without the new hard-core physical hands-on butchering of demons. I don't feel it brings anything to the franchise other other than to de-humanize the protagonist. It delves into self-parody too much imo. Demons are a mindless bunch and the over the top physical violence feels petty and unnecessary coming from our hero. It fees like the Doom Guy/Slayer isn't quite as human as they once were and that they are now just indulging themselves in a physical orgy of violence. I always thought that the character had more self control, that he was a hero in the traditional sense and that the only violence that occurred was what was necessary to win. He seems tainted by darkness now... but maybe that's something the series could eventually speak to and address? Who knows?
