I've prepared a modified version here, with the original E3 2019 version below.
Same indications, but feeling much less confining.

You think it's possible for just one plain color?
Just trying to get out a quick, but solid improvement that wouldn't be too different from the original- showing how compacting the UI elements below and simplifying the compass can drastically improve.

Problem is also not just size/placement, but many random, bright colors used in HUD. White or gray color is enough, maybe red for some critical "highlight" like low ammo

HUD should be minimal, it is just to convey essential information in a discreet way, it's not a decoration of the screen.

I prefer a see through minimalist hud like doom 2016, but that hud wasn't without its flaws. Still want to be more immersed in the environment than the hud though.

Yeah, if this game has the same pacing during combat as the previous game, then the HUD needs to be scaled the ♥♥♥♥ down and given a beating with the Minimalist stick.

Since when HUD was "customizable" in games like this? You can turn it off, or some of it. Doesn't mean you can change the fugly colors and unnecessary shapes/paddings/symbols everywhere, drawn by someone mentally disabled

I have no problem with the hud. I think I have more of a problem with the grunt sounds doom guy does when he gets hit. It wasn't in the 2016 game, why put it in this one?
