Collectors Edition?

If we get the collectors edition do we get a Steam copy and pre order bonus or is it exclusive to their launcher?

None of RAGE 2's codes were Steam. It was ALL bethesda net and it seems like this will follow suit sadly.

Not gonna lie, its a deal breaker for me that you can’t play the game on steam if you buy the collectors edition. I want a Slayer helmet, but not enough to have the game on Bethesda’s ♥♥♥♥♥♥ launcher

There is another thread respectively about a similar topic which OP asks whether you can tie the CE to Steam, they have asked on Beth forums yet to have a reply.

Completely agree. It might help them but it sucks for us, and we can't pretend they care.

To be fair, I've been a white knight on the Doom (2016) forums for a good few years now, but a lot of the decisions being made with Eternal are pissing me off.

The campaign, what we've seen at least, still looks amazing, sure. But everything surrounding it is starting to leave a bitter taste in my mouth.

Man, I definitely get where you're coming from. As much fun as Eternal DOOM looks (and it better be), the business decisions and dumbass choices, I'm not on board with that crap.

Meh..... it didn't stop me. You can work around the Bethesda launcher. As a matter of fact, I've been taking advantage of the free week of FO76 by having Steam launch the game rather than Bethesda's launcher. Gives me the Steam overlay so I keep in contact and coordinate with my friends here on Steam who are also playing FO76. However, I do see where there is apprehension due to a lack of refunds via Bethesda's launcher/store. But as far as launching and playing the game, you only really need the Bethesda launcher to download and update the game.

I am .... uneasy... with what I've seen so far of Eternal. But I was also dissatisfied with what I saw of DOOM prior to release and was appreciably surprised when I first played it. Let's hope the trend continues.

That doesn't mean I won't break down their absurd reasoning around multiplayer at some point.
