Incoming update - EXE: 10068 - more weapon mods drop? Solution to breaking the game?
There is one mention that i particularly dont like at all ..

> Increased the drop chance for higher tier weapon mods.

I play this game for years, i have like 1300 hours in it. I love the details, physics, lights and shadows.
There are not many games that can go toe to toe with the quality of visuals of this game.

But I have insane problem with the weapon mods. There are too many of them, there is like 100 different mods, they are absolutely useless, many of them.
I made my own mod that disables white, blue, purple mods from monster pool .. i am not modder, no experience, sadly cannot disable certain red mods too.
I even decreased the drop for red mods .. still, by the time i finish the game in about 60 ingame days, i have thousands of mods and it lowers fps, game stutters, lags.
Once I clear my inventory, the stuttering is immediately gone.

Currently there is no any kind of smart, efficient and not extremely annoying way to remove the mods from vanilla game.
You either spend dozens of hours deleting mods one by one and everytime you press "delete", the game freezes. Plus you cannot even speed it up by confirming with enter, you have to use mouse which keeps resetting to default position. That process is very annoying.
Another option is to use console and learn the 100 different mod lines.

I use one other mod from workshop that helps clear inventory.
Scrolling in the inventory or in towers to insert the mods is absolute nightmare. Mouse scrolling doesnt work, arrows doesnt wok, there is no filter etc.

I have beast PC for 3000 EUR, I play brutal 500%. I know you counter the thousands of enemies on the screen with bullet time to keep fps high. The cost of this performance is so marginal compared to the cost of performance from overloading the inventory with thousands of mods.

The last thing the game needs is MORE weapon mods in the drop pool. There is already way too much.
I can understand if you are completely counting on the modding community to solve this problem so you just gave up, but some official statement would be nice.
If you are increasing the drop chance for weapon mods, which will break my mod and updating takes hours because there are more than 100 lines for some reason ..
You should really make a necessary update to allow players to delete the mods or even better, some official option to just disable the low tiers and lower drop chance.

Or something.
At the beginning you get nothing, you need certain level of knowledge for them to start dropping and with higher level of knowledge, the drop chance increases on its own. In the end of the game, the amount of resources and mods that drops is just nuts.

You cannot just increase the drop chance to increase the inventory problem which will lead to higher performance cost.
That is very wrong approach.

The patch notes you read are for the co-op beta. These changes don't affect the official live version of the game. Besides, we are working on a mass disassembly option to clean up the inventory.

I did say "incoming" update ..
Probably the correct word is "upcoming" .. but same same :)

I know its not live, but something is cooking .. just sharing feedback that more mods without additional solution is not a welcome change
I cannot imagine how people on lower hardware feels if they encounter this

Cant wait for the dismantling update .. wonder what you did :) Been waiting for this since release.
