did 500% and brutal strenght run recently with 200% buildtime and rest on normal.
its really hard to survive the first 2 HQ upgrades. I struggled and restarted 2 to 3 (HQ explode) times, then played very efficient and walled everything at least 3-4 times in. its getting easier by teching higher (ironically mid to endgame is easier) but it was a blast!
always recommend going at least 150-200% with buildtime to delete the buildspam-"exploit".
btw i don´t think its possible for a normal human to play 500% + brutal + 200% monster damage. (without cheesing the hell out of walls and stuff) you try to kill the waves with your mech-explosions then lol.
in my opinion its really really hard now up until mid to lategame. outposts are a bit easier though.
For example what if those kermon creatures could bypass your defensive towers due its invisibility? this would need specialized towers to detect these creatures. they could even have the ability to disable wall gates and infiltrate the base to attack more vulnerable structures.
Another idea would be: what if there was a creature that provided an aura to nearby creatures that reduces specific type of damage such as energy? this would make the mech (you) have to go out there and kill those creatures before the other creatures destroys your base.
In conclusion, enemy creatures need to be smarter not spawn more. All you need to beat that is built more towers. Outposts do need a boost in quantity though.
this. we really need some more features and mechanics for the monsters. they could take some inspiration from games like they are billions.
yeah but that kind of misses the point. you could always just tweak the settings so that 1 million mobs spawn and each can 1-hit you but that doesn´t add much to the gameplay.
there need to be some changes to mobs per se. smarter behaviour, special monsters, challenge that requires more thinking, more preperation and so on.
And while what was said above is true, I could use custom settings, I mean the final wave is too weak in relation what was thrown at me before. To some regard it seemed to me, that some of the regular waves (that come only from one side) were more difficult than beating the final wave. And that is where I think the devs should tweak a little. More elites, more bosses, so that it does feel significantly harder then normal waves.
