I have a workaround until we find a fix, but it is highly experimental and if you are not careful you might break your game (I mean, reloading the save will still work, but you've been warned).
1) First of all, load a save file from BEFORE activating rift station.
2) Hit "~" on you keyboard and type in: show_flow_graph_screen and hit enter.
3) Click MissionSystem.
4) Click logic/missions/campaigns/story/headquarters.logic##somenumbers
5) Click 'FINISH' on [GraphNode] event_graph_18
Then follow the objectives. If everything went right and this was the case for you, you will be able to finish the game.
I know it's complicated and difficult, But I hope this will work for you until we introduce a real fix for this problem.
I unfortunately did it kind of hardcore and only left the autosaves.
So, I won't be able to try the workaround.
I'll just start a new game.
As for more notes indicating this problem, that might help you dev it,
I had trouble laying down stabilizers.
As I've placed them, they were not being counted as present in the requirements on the Rift Station, it was indicated as 0/4 advanced magnetic stabilizers.
After which randomly it started recognizing them.
And after another interval it allowed me to open the portal.
Also it might contribute to the bug, some of the Stabilizers losing their coolants, as the attack destroyed some water creation, and one didn't function.
Thanks for the help :)
Ah, if your portal stops getting in the resources it needs during the entire process, then the process breaks and you need to wait for the timer to finish anyway, and try again.
As for the stabilizers, each needs to cover the portal. I made sure at least the center of the portal was covered, and they counted.
I totally forgot that I used the one without a liquid cost, I just kinda thought they all were like that when replying earlier.
To add context I clicked activate while trying to figure out how to supply the water and supercharged plasma, after supplying it though the rift station seems to be permanently stuck activating or something. I may true deconstructing a large section of my base to let the enemies in and kill it? I'll bet that will game over me though instead of letting me rebuild...
i'm having problems finishing the game too but i think its because i'm running low on power as the countdown goes.
the game needs a bit more feedback to the player as to the status of the rift station.
Could you fix the random map generation sometimes killing the Titanium Radar mission?
