How to complete the game?
I think I might be bugging, I just need someone to confirm.
I've constructed the rift station, all the four magnetic stabilizers (Dev note: which are called differently in the text descriptor, advanced magnetic stabilizers :) )
The countdown started and I've waited down the countdown of 5 minutes.
I believe a scripted attack begun.
Defeated that, and nothing happens.
The rift keeps pulsing, game goes on as normal.
Aside from taking 10k more power from me.
Nothing else happens.

Hello,

I have a workaround until we find a fix, but it is highly experimental and if you are not careful you might break your game (I mean, reloading the save will still work, but you've been warned).

1) First of all, load a save file from BEFORE activating rift station.
2) Hit "~" on you keyboard and type in: show_flow_graph_screen and hit enter.
3) Click MissionSystem.
4) Click logic/missions/campaigns/story/headquarters.logic##somenumbers
5) Click 'FINISH' on [GraphNode] event_graph_18

Then follow the objectives. If everything went right and this was the case for you, you will be able to finish the game.

I know it's complicated and difficult, But I hope this will work for you until we introduce a real fix for this problem.

did you walk to the rift after the 5 min where over?, a pop up option should appear above you asking you if you want to leave the planet also you have like 2min or less to go into the rift

I'd assume that if the game gave the option of ending the game, the player would have mentioned the count-down timer and the new objective telling the player to get on and Mr. Riggs pushing you to get on.

Thanks for reaching out,
I unfortunately did it kind of hardcore and only left the autosaves.
So, I won't be able to try the workaround.
I'll just start a new game.

As for more notes indicating this problem, that might help you dev it,
I had trouble laying down stabilizers.
As I've placed them, they were not being counted as present in the requirements on the Rift Station, it was indicated as 0/4 advanced magnetic stabilizers.
After which randomly it started recognizing them.
And after another interval it allowed me to open the portal.

Also it might contribute to the bug, some of the Stabilizers losing their coolants, as the attack destroyed some water creation, and one didn't function.

Thanks for the help :)

Ah, if your portal stops getting in the resources it needs during the entire process, then the process breaks and you need to wait for the timer to finish anyway, and try again.

As for the stabilizers, each needs to cover the portal. I made sure at least the center of the portal was covered, and they counted.

The stabalizers as an added step are a bit much. You've already sunk so much into the process at that point that the extra resources is just one final kick to the teeth. If anything, I'd replace those with a structure that needed to be built at your auxillary sites so you'd have one last reason to tour your bases.

If you do enough scanning on other maps (I think volcano?) you get a stabilizer that needs no liquid resource. Research it in the alien research tree.

I totally forgot that I used the one without a liquid cost, I just kinda thought they all were like that when replying earlier.

So my Rift Station has already been activated and I don't have save before activating it, but I am still stick at "Activate the Rift Station power-up sequence" step. Is my game just RIP then?

To add context I clicked activate while trying to figure out how to supply the water and supercharged plasma, after supplying it though the rift station seems to be permanently stuck activating or something. I may true deconstructing a large section of my base to let the enemies in and kill it? I'll bet that will game over me though instead of letting me rebuild...

I've got the same (or similar) bug. I hooked everything up, and the superplasma and water stopped before 5k of storage, but I was still able to activate the 5min timer, and then killed the triggered attack wave. I went back to the rift station, and added storage tanks to the liquid lines, which then allowed the storage to get up to the required 5k. That trigger some dialogue that seemed to talk about the timer and attack I already weathered, and I had a quest added to 'start the rift power up sequence,' but I'm not able to actually do that since I already triggered the timer. It seems like the game is just stuck in this state.

i personally noticed the magnetic stabilizers were only counted as built after i put the filled water/coolant pipes to them. its also not obvious that they need to be built within range of the rift station.

i'm having problems finishing the game too but i think its because i'm running low on power as the countdown goes.

the game needs a bit more feedback to the player as to the status of the rift station.

Could you fix the random map generation sometimes killing the Titanium Radar mission?
M1Combat Oct 25, 2021 @ 3:07pm
Same problem here. No save to go back far enough (I had started mine before knowing you need 5K "storage" instead of just "Hook positive flow to the station and it will get to 5K" so after learning that I went and built my titanium base and fully reinforced my base. I'd have to go back at least 2-3 hours anyway... All to fix a problem the devs caused... No thanks.
