My "Serious" go-to was the Minigun with +% Fire damage, +AOE, and +Cluster, combined with a Plasma with all AOE. Clears mobs fo DAYS.
on the plain machine gun splash damage... it's nuts
And then minigun or plasma rifle in second hand. Havent met anything that can beat that yet.
Basically makes you invulnerable unless you get 1-shot. (or there aren't many enemies)
Though for actually killing things, I prefer the Grenade Launcher with +Projectiles/Cluster and the best damage/crits I can get on it.
Always fires at least 2 missiles... 30% chance of firing 3 missiles at once... 20% chance of firing 2 volleys (which could proc as 3 missiles each)
Abysmal ammo usage since every missile costs 15 ammo count... but would definitely annihilate anything on the screen. Especially if you held the charge before firing which seems to double the AoE. :P
