Any ridiculous weapon/mod combos?
I found it quite fun stacking increase projectiles on shot and burst with explosives or the shotgun (although it makes you burn ammo fast with the shotgun).

Any interesting or devastating weapon-mod combos people have found?

Extreme Floating Mine Layer + Burst/Single Projectile Count... It winds up deploying 4 or 5 mines on top of each other if you get the +% high enough.

My "Serious" go-to was the Minigun with +% Fire damage, +AOE, and +Cluster, combined with a Plasma with all AOE. Clears mobs fo DAYS.

on the plain machine gun splash damage... it's nuts

i tried splash damage on the minigun but i honestly wasn't sure it even did anything. is it noticeably crazy with the machinegun? nice XD

Projectile increase is great on a lot of things. I used mine on grenade launchers and high caliber rifles.

i like the gradelauncer + extra projectiles mod + granades = 3 granades or more per shot with one weapon.
And then minigun or plasma rifle in second hand. Havent met anything that can beat that yet.

Mini-nuke launcher with homing mod. As long as you're faced in vaguely the direction of your target, it will hit.

what and where is mininuke launcher? i don't see it anywhere in the techtree, just grenade and rocket launchers. and floating mine launcher. not mininukes yet :/

The most destruction I've managed to get so far was swarm missiles with a lot of projectile and burst modifiers. Get two of these and just watch the fireworks. You'll probably want to get A LOT of ammo storage and factories first though, those things eat through ammo really fast. But as long as you have the ammo, you're like a one man turret line.

So far my favorite has been Machinegun with +Pierce +Splash +Life Gain on Hit.
Basically makes you invulnerable unless you get 1-shot. (or there aren't many enemies)

Though for actually killing things, I prefer the Grenade Launcher with +Projectiles/Cluster and the best damage/crits I can get on it.

My favourite is the flamethrower with 3 range mods. This will give it enough range to damage everything in your vision range.

Hehe I did that... Extreme mini-nuke + Homing + 2x Projectiles per shot mods.
Always fires at least 2 missiles... 30% chance of firing 3 missiles at once... 20% chance of firing 2 volleys (which could proc as 3 missiles each)

Abysmal ammo usage since every missile costs 15 ammo count... but would definitely annihilate anything on the screen. Especially if you held the charge before firing which seems to double the AoE. :P

Get a nuke launcher with acid DOT on it. It can get a dumb damage amount, like 500 DPS on the dot, which is enough to take down things immune to explosions.
