The game has issues, in the first issue you had the marker opens a bit latter. You can leave that map, The second issue, if I remember right its on another map but could be wrong, the first issue I remember clearly since when it unlocked I was so pissed on how much time I wasted searching for the item in those trees and how bad this is implemented.

Sorry you encountered an issue like this. In order to research Extra Stable Floor you need familiarity level 1 of the Stregaros species. You can find them on any map in the Desert biome. Scan them with bioscanner and collect 10 samples - your research will unlock and you will be able to progress.

Apologies once more, we will find a way to prevent that in the future.

dont appologize realy. If they run around shooting not scanning then they should feel the pain for it, like , add waves after 5 or so minutes that add a couple of them so they need to wait to fulfill it. Ya helped my gf with the same problem, thou realy the game even SAY'S scan everything that moves early on. So like i said : if the map is empty then add a wave timer so some foes spawn and hunt you down, so its not imposible to fulfill that mission. Its worse thou when you build a cobalt base and it does not recognize it in the mission's, thats a bug, but not a gamebreaking one so keep that priority low.

It turned out that I had not studied the usual Stregaros, I ran the whole map a second time and found 3 individuals. The mission "Find an unusual creature" has been completed. I completed a couple more tasks, studies and the Extra Stable Floor opened.

I am very offended that you are talking about things that you cannot know. You would be pleased if I said things about you that I cannot know.
I try to complete games that I like completely, trying to complete them 100% (excluding collectibles such as find 100 feathers).
In the game, I have studied almost all the flora and fauna up to at least the second level. I can try to throw off my saves or screenshots (I was greatly outraged by your comment, so I'm ready to do it).
