Stuck: Volanic Area - Find Temperature Anomalies (Potential Spoiler)

I need help with the Volcanic Area. The mission says "Search area for temperature Anomalies"
I can't find those areas. Everywhere I look I cannot build and the ground never seems to change from flame (too hot?) to be able to build. Any hint is appriciated,

Assuming its the first volcanic mission, where you are looking for cryo plants they come in two sizes, massive and tiny, and have frosty ground around them> But I've had a bug where not enough spawn for the mission. so what you can do is:

ok, save your game.

Tab out.

Do to documents folder on your computer, go to the riftbreaker folder, sort by date. Delete (back up if you want) the latest map folder (not campaign folder).

Tab back into game.

reload your save.

It will say the save is corrupted, and it needs to regenerate the map, so let it do that.

hopefully you have enough plants spawn on map to do the mission.

WOW, I can't believe this was the problem. I used this tip and regenerated the map and GUESS WHAT -- my original map had NO frosty plants at ALL, so I didn't even know what I was looking for. I found them right away in my new map. That was SO STUPID.

yeah, I cleared the map looking for 3 more, then got frustrated, thankfully someone in the discord for the game had a solution, as I was a bit miffed at that point.

Yah that's it, I found only 2 of the frozen plants. I spent almost 3 hrs on that map to reveal evy bit and now have to do it all over. So frustrating!

Same happened to me. Searched the entire map and only got 6 samples. So glad i saved before going on the mission otherwise my campaign would be bricked.

for some reason it doesn't let me regenerate the map, I did exactly as you said and it just loads me back into the map

make sure you are on the map, and that you save there. then tab out.

Then the most recently updated map folder should be that map, totally delete it, then reload your save.

Hope you get it working.

Hit "~" and type in:

cheat_add_resource specimen_cryo_plant 10

This will fulfill the objective requirements for you. This is just a workaround - we're working on a real fix. It will be available shortly. Sorry you encountered this issue.
