Autorebuild
After a tornado hit my base, i am thinking about quitting the game. Everything is destroyed and while i have enough resources to rebuild, i need to manually place everything back. And i had some pretty complex grid of cables and pipes there...
Is there any way how to automatically rebuild things?
And uprgade multiple buildings at once would be good as well...

you can build fully upgraded buildings from the ground by holding ALT.
you can also mass upgrade by pressing upgrade (G) and then just hold left click and just go over everything you wanna upgrade.

I also suggest repair towers. they repair anything that get damaged in their radius.

Yea... something like a ghost mode for buildings would be nice.

I need to actually get into this after buying it this morning (skipped out on the demo) but...

I'm just thinking about this from a cynical world weary gamer perspective here.

Problem I've seen mentioned: A natural disaster broke a bunch of your buildings.

Proposed solution I've seen thrown around: "There are repair towers"

Which leads me to the obvious question for a guy constantly left disappointed by such seemingly simple answers and watching the goalposts shifted into the distant horizon if they don't quite live up to the hype.

Are the repair towers immune to natural disaster damage? Because if not...

They are not and as far as i noticed, they only repair damaged stuff in range, not completely destroyed buildings.
And about that tornado, no, despite dealing damage over time, i dont think single repeair tower can repair buildings faster than they are being destroyed.

They repair themselfs as well ofcourse.
natural disasters are not that OP as you might think. its easy to stop them.
for example you can just go to where the tornado is and repair everything instantly yourself.

"Gosh just make the thing that deals with natural disasters!... okay they can't actually be relied on to deal with natural disasters, but that doesn't count because you can repair things yourself when they fail to do their job!"

And there goes the goalpost, into the sun.

Thank god I'm used to expecting that sort of thing. Imagine if I took the initial answer of "just build repair towers idiot weather problem solved" at face value.

So far my repair towers manage to keep everything repaired. except maybe for energy connectors and pipes as they are very weak. if i hear a tornado is coming i just go back to base and make sure i am in repair mode (R) and just hold LMB everywhere the tornado goes. easy.
