how to gather resin

Im currently playing the DLC campaign and mr rigs mentioned that it is possible to gather resin and somehow convert it to plasma, I dont get it, how do I gather the resin, is it a liquid or is it a resource that can be mined, I dont get it

Liquid that can be used in place of plasma.
Connect pipes to the fruit body outlets, four of them, one to a side. Then, use like regular plasma.

yes its part of the fungal swamp area, big pink/purple shroom like plant with 4 outlets for pipes.

I'm sorry, I don't see anything that looks like it anywhere. Is it a natural indestructible building on the map ? Is there only one at a specific place, or are there multiple buildings all around the map ? I've tried to connect pipes to anything glowing pink but that does nothing.

Yes, it'll be a natural indestructible on the map, you cannot see it yet. You'll see 4 outlets on one smaller tree, right now it produces 25 resin, and you only need to connect to one outlet, connecting to multiple points on the same tree is pointless.
(I say it like that, because I suspect that it'll be patched, because... who the hell wants to connect to 8 trees in a difficult to build biome to satisfy A SINGLE Liquid Compressor level 3? Miniscule yield, and the alternative is absurdly abundant and easier to come by with Fusion.)

I won't give a screenshot, just keep going, trust me, when you'll see it, it'll be extremely clear what it is, how does it look, and where to connect.

OK I may be too soon in the campaign... I guess the first 2 shields have to be built with plasma. But the resin speech earlier and the icon on the shield turret are very confusing.
