Energy Pylon question
Hey folks!

Just getting back into this gem of a game after buying the DLCs and I have a question about the energy pylon.

It can transmit the energy wirelessly across the map, but can it go through the rift network to bases on other maps? So from headquarters to radioactive desert?

Thanks a bunch!

as far as i know, the range is for a single map. one outpost can't power another outpost

I just started and at the part of the prologue were it tells me to connect power to my mine. Unfortunately it seems to be bugged because it gave me no clue how to connect a power source to a building. Do I have to just click stuff in the hope I get lucky?

This must have been why it had been tossed in my junk folder. That is where I had dug it out of this morning from. I was wondering why it was there.

Had the same question many weeks back and googled it. Also had a few people with the same question and the answer is no or else it would be OP and ruin part of the game design since then you can just find a map with few attacks like the acidic plains and just power up every other map from there onward. Then each map would be way too easy.

One of the easier things to do is use a pylon to build a small outpost near any geyser on early game
Gives enough energy gets you connected on your network and is an extra small/big outpost to cull to big waves or buy valuable time
Thanks for all the responses folks!

I have worked out how to transport liquids, so I am using gas and magma to power things!
The pylons are great for setting up smaller mining bases :D

seriously? it's that hard to discern how to connect buildings close together or using energy connectors? How do you learn to use any other buildings? You see what you are able to build, then read their tool tips to see what they enable you to do. that simple. The game isnt going to hold your hand AND carry you. It does take a tiny amount of intelligence.

Woah there buddy, I think you're going a bit hard there! While I agree with the sentiment, there is a need to pay attention to tooltips and experiment. Not to mention the game does tell you to use energy connectors. Your post comes across really negative and honestly, pretty toxic.

While it may seem like a super basic thing to me or you, would it have hurt to at least be polite in making your point?

That's not how it was intended. Friendly ridicule to get you to think. I shouldnt have said "intelligence", i meant effort and thinking. Sorry about that.

Totally get that, it happens!
The apology is a big person move and I respect it!

кто в курсе, почему если монстры базу разрушают, то электричество восстановить не получается.

100 пилонов отстроил уже. Но они не передают электричество в другие места. Неужели базу снова с нуля отстраивать?

It cannot, which is why you use nuclear rectors instead as materials can go through
