Uranium Centrifuge questions
I find the mechanics of the Uranium Centrifuge rather strange...

I have a few of them at an outpost. An outpost that has plenty of crude uranium which is feeding the centrifuges. However, it seems the centrifuges are only active when I'm on that outpost. They generate uranium whilst I'm there, and when I pop back to my main outpost it will use the uranium created by the centrifuge but I will gradually run out and have to go back to the uranium outpost to get the stock back up...

Seem like a weird mechanic that doesnt fit with the rest of the game. At least in my experience. Am I missing something?

That does seem weird. IS your crude uranium still increasing? If so. have you tried building the uranium centrifuges in another outpost or at your HQ? It changes the crude uranium into uranium. If you are still getting the crude uranium, I assume that you can convert it at a different location. To substitute, you could create a Cultivator farm for uranium plants.

So my crude uranium is practically maxed at the moment, and there is much more to farm. But it only actively converts to uranium when I'm at the outpost. When I'm away the conversion stops and it ticks down till empty.

Going back to the outpost starts the conversion again... it's very strage.

I have since built some centrifuges at my main base. It's a solution but not the one I'd like.

Edit: Thanks for the response

I maybe have a problem. I have completed the game some time ago, but wanted to star over with the new DLC. In the new game I left the planet with Crude Uranium without building a base there. Now there is no planet with Uranium at all. I have unlocked the Crude uranium mining and ever found some inderground Uranium with the scanner, but no planet that have deposits that I can build miners on. Is there any Uranium on the starting planet? What to do?

This has been a bug since October 2021, and the devs REFUSE to fix it.

I have this same issue, but with every resource by late game.

Outpost resources simply don't rift. And when you do go to outpost, carbonium and ironium go to negative 300, 400 500 odd, and seems to add on each time you rift. The whole resource/outpost rift maths is utterly ♥♥♥♥♥♥, but there's no plan to fix it.

there is no uranium in the starting region. which by the way the entire game is set on the same planet just different regions. I know there are some enemies that can drop uranium but it's only in small amounts. and if there really is no way to get to the uranium area you could try and install this mod https://www.nexusmods.com/theriftbreaker/mods/50 or you would have to start over.

How would that even happen, unless you ignored the mission objective to build an outpost there?

If you have scanned the plants, you can set up cultivators to harvest the uranium. Income would probably be slower but you would still be getting it.

How can it be that one mistake ruins the progress its better to ask, and it was not a mission objective. It just said that you haven`t build a base and will no be able to go back to this location. I have done this with other locations too, but I still have the possebility to mine that same ore in a new location. If this was a "must" its better that you can`t leave the location before you have build a base there.

Are you sure you've done all the uranium missions then? The final one asks you to build an outpost. It's even titled "Establish a uranium mining outpost" or something similar.
