You need to preload it with 6000 plasma, not 6000 plasma *per second*. It can tick up over time.
Ok then I'm really doing something wrong - just to start out I built 10 of those super coolant refineries in line with a pipe to the Rift, and after about 30 minutes it still reads "Deliver Super coolant to the rift station 1000/5000"
On the Supercharged plasma side, one T3 Plasma Converter pumping into a storage tank fed by a Fusion Reactor fed by either 1 Water Purifier or 2 Super Coolant.
Sometimes it is "Ugh liquid logic is so ♥♥♥♥, directly plugging in sources exceeding my needs in output keeps bugging out unless I buffer it with storage for no reason"
Other times it is "Ugh liquid logic is so ♥♥♥♥, if I use liquid storage even at max capacity it glitches out unless I remove it and directly pipe from the source."
so I guess the game is just horrible with liquid logic in general. along with all the other resource glitches.
I'd guess it's to do with upgrading, since it stalls what it was doing (since its input/output can change) and sometimes needs reconnecting afterwards.
I don't know if anyone's tried rifting out to a different zone and back to the HQ to see if that fixes it. (At a guess reloading the map should reinitialise the supply logic, but it's totally down to how it's programmed)
Never use Nuclear power plants either. They're inefficient and come too late in the game to even be a viable stop-gap on the way to Fusion. Just skip them and go right to Fusion instead.
Basically if any building requires elemental resources per second to run, they're not worth using.
I finished all maps yesterday of the campaign and never realized i could get plasma without Ionizers... I need to try this out now!
Yeah, its amazing just how badly designed some of the games resources are. For the most part they are really easy to get and use, as long as you don't use certain buildings.
Nuclear plants are a trap.
Using super coolant is a trap.
Using Ionizers are a trap.
Every single building that has an upkeep requirement of limited resources is just pointless to use or build, besides some plant/meat power in remote locations.
The fact that Nuclear plants require water is dumb just because of the way the game works. It should be the power you use in the desert, just like using magma when going for Titanium. There should just be spots you can place them so that they are there and don't use any resources on said spots. (not the spots you can mine, like uranium geysers).
Really what he says. You build any building that uses up a finite resorce, your borked.
